Texas Alliance for Life

“Texas Alliance for Life is a nonprofit organization made up of people … committed to protecting the fundamental right to life of all innocent human beings and to promoting respect for their value and dignity from the moment of conception until natural death. We therefore oppose the advocacy and practice of abortion (except to preserve the mother’s life), infanticide, euthanasia, and all forms of assisted suicide.”

No religious requirements for membership, which is free. The group does raise funds from volunteers and offers opportunities for action. There are occasional mailings and emails full of information and ways to contact your State and Federal legislators about action items.

I will start with prolife groups whose purpose is to protect all human life from being intentionally killed. Later, I’ll add groups that don’t necessarily agree with that principle.

Another section soon to come is a list of professional organizations, non profit organizations and government resources and opportunities to make a difference within these structures.

Texas Physicians Resource Council

“The Texas Physicians Resource Council serves as an organization of Christian physicians and dentists committed to bringing the truth to the medically related problems that face our families today.”

Membership is restricted to  physicians and dentists and requires an agreement with the Council’s Christian, pro-family and pro-life values. There are several levels of membership donations and methods of paying. There is no need to pay dues to join their mailing list  - just call Mark Swafford at 972-423-8889, extension 101, or send an email to operations@texasphysicians.org.
